Shark Migration – March 2005
Several local beaches were closed today due to hundreds of sharks that were spotted just off the shore at Deerfield Beach. Apparently these are primarily Black-Tip Reef and Spinner Sharks in the range of 4-5 feet long, preparing for their annual migration up the eastern US coast to Georgia, the Carolinas, and eventually the Chesapeake Bay.
